Cyprus 50 Cents
I received 6 coins from Cyprus today. A 50 cent coin is shown here, 7-lobed, depicting the abduction of Europe by Zeus transfigured into a bull. The inscription "King Timocharis" on the reverse side in Cyprosyllabic and the face value of the coin. This coin's date is 1996, made out of alloy and nickel. The reverse side is the Government's Emblem.
More info HERE and go to "Cyprus Economy" link then look for Currency.

Nice blog I hope your blog don't mind I added you to my Links list.
ReplyDeleteNot that I'm a grade expert but your Cyprus coin looks about a very-fine which runs about $0.75.
Your 5 Paisa from Nepal is nice but the year is on the front and I don't see it. It looks in fine condition.
It is Copper-Nickel-Zinc and there are only 4 dates, the first is listed is on the coin and is from there VS calendar. The second date corresponds to our year.
2000(1943)is $0.65
2009(1952)is $1.75
2010(1953)is $1.25
Restrike in Copper-Nickel
2010(1953)is $0.65
Have fun.
Thanks MAN, good information and also for adding me to your link list.
