From the vending machine at Silver Spring car park, I got me a bunch of John Adams 1 dollar commemorative coins. My husband used one to pay for coffee and the teller got excited, apparently the commemorative dollar doesn't come by often enough. I am sure she is keeping that one.
These larger coins take so long to filter down. I don't see how they will be as successful as the state quarters.
ReplyDeleteIt could be as interesting as the quarters because it is shorter time and perhaps the seemingly scarce availability would make it more challenging for collectors to pursue, I don't know! For someone like me who do not prefer buying coin would have to wait for one to come along from loose change or find a place such as the Silver Spring Car Park vending machine to get them (LOL).
