UK Half Pennt 1913

Half Penny, 1913, King George V, Bronze
Mintage: 17,476,000
Mintage between 1911 - 1925 is 322,502,000
KM# 809

I am not quite sure where I got this coin, I think this is from my mum-in-law. She gave me some old coins. The firsts "Half Pennys" were minted during King Edward the 3rd's reign. King George was in 1/2 penny from 1911 up to 1936, then the image changed to King George IV the next British Monarch.

I believe the image of the baby is of the newest son of Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn, the heir apparent to the Thai Kingdon. The prince just turn one last year. This coin is new and is not in most World Coin Catalouge.

Nepal - Malla

An Old Coin

I got this coin from souviner shop in Kathmandu for free. I think, if I am not mistaken this is a coin from Malla Dynasty in Nepal. There are a lot of these coins around in Nepal so this is not something rare. Of course there other coins from Malla Era that is pricey this is just not one fo them.
The Malla Dynasty is a Newari Dynasty before the Shas (current royal dynasty in Nepal)

THAILAND - 1998 10 baht Y#348

This coin is to commemorate the
13th Asian Games
held in Bangkok BE2541 (1998)

This coin was actually in circulation and my first ever Thai coins were one of these. I first visited Thailand back in 1997. All Thai coins bear the image of Rama IX. The regular coins have temples or palace images on the reverse side. The Thai King is highly revered by the local so even stepping on a coin is offensive and could get you into trouble or could land you in jail. There is no tolerance on tourists or visitors unawareness of this Law.

Presidential Dollar Album

This album I got from Borders for about $7 . . . I would have like something that is a little fancier but this will do for now to keep the coins organize. There are a few different styles, some have too many things on it that is probably not necessary but if it suits your fancy they are definitely available.

This particular folder album has four (4) panels, 5 years in a panel, with 19 holes for coins in one (1) panel, the holes in this folder has a special LOCK-IN feature so that your coin won't fall out, two (2) panels each for Philadelphia and Denver meant, from 2007 until 2016. Each coin holes has each Presidents presidential year written. A flap page on one end list each presidents year of birth and year of death including their Political party and their vice Presidents during their time. The other flap page is a few information about the Presidential Dollars.
